Internally Displaced Camps are for people who have been displaced from their homes because of one reason or the other. It could be because their homes were raided by terrorists or was hit by natural disaster making it unsafe for them to stay there. The idea of these camps is to house these displaced people for a while, while their homes are being repaired and made safe again. But the IDP camps are fast becoming permanent homes to these people. The government should bear in mind that displaced people placed in these camps are yet to feel a sense of belonging. It would be nice if they could return home and heal properly from the trauma they have suffered.
