The Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has commenced the construction of the multi-million naira ARCON House, Abuja.
This is coming when the council’s Lagos office, which is still under renovation, is at about 60 per cent completion stage.

Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, performed the foundation laying ceremony of the project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Fashola, who expressed delight with the stride of ARCON council led by Arc Dipo Ajayi, said: “This is a much better place for the architecturefamily to be than where you were three years ago.
“From what I have seen so far, ARCON has shown that example and I will say I am really impressed with this achievement,” Fashola said.
In his speech, the ARCON president, said the new edifice will explore and adopt green technology and building automation that is pocket friendly.
