Migili nationality and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State have disassociated themselves from a purported statement by their chairman, Dr Philip Ajeh, accusing Governor Abdullahi Sule of lopsided appointments in the state.
Addressing journalists in Lafia on Friday, the director-general of the Nasarawa Geographic Information Service (NAGIS), Mr Sonny Agassi, said there was no time Migili people assembled and cried out about alleged “lopsidedness in the state.”
He added that the purported statement signed by the chairman of the MCDA, Dr Ajeh, was an embarrassment to the association in the state.
“We want to use this medium to apologise to Governor Abdullahi Sule for the embarrassment caused by the purported statement made by Dr Ajeh.
“Migili APC stakeholders and the generality of Migili people appreciate the several high-ranking appointments the governor has given us as a matter of privilege, but a right.
“It is not in the character of our people to defame and denigrate a leader who works tirelessly to run an inclusive and equitable government,” he added.
