The Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule, has dedicated his victory at the Appeal Court to the people of the state and called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to partner with his administration to further develop the state.
Governor Sule said this while addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters that thronged the Nasarawa Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja immediately after the Appeal Court judgement that reinstated him as governor.
The governor, while extending the olive branch to the opposition, urged them to unite further for the overall interest of the state, which he said would be translated to a meaningful development.
While congratulating the opposition for their resilience, he, however, posited that though they had done their best, it came short of victory at the appellate court.

“I want to call on them, that if they truly love Nasarawa State, this is the time for them to come and partner with us because they can see clearly that we mean well for the state. They can see clearly that we have a plan for the state. They can see clearly that our plan and wisdom have nothing to do with ethnicity and religion. We love the good people of Nasarawa State irrespective of their ethnicity and religion,” he said.
Sule appreciated the leadership of the party, both at the national and state levels, adding that he would continue to show appreciation, especially to major stakeholders of the party in the state.
He particularly called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to endeavour to be sincere with one another and shun acts capable of breeding disunity.
In their separate remarks during the occasion, two former governors of the state, Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Umaru Tanko Al-Makura congratulated Governor Sule on his victory.
Also, the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has hailed the judgement of the Appeal Court that reaffirmed Governor Sule as the duly elected Governor of the state.
Abdullahi stated this in Lafia the state capital on Friday while reacting to the Appeal Court judgement affirming Sule as the duly elected governor.
