In a release made available to Sunday Trust and signed by the ward chairman, Mr Joseph Nwachukwu, the party claimed that “Esika has been expelled from the party since last year for anti party activities and actions aimed at sabotaging the desired unity within the party.” Nwachukwu who expressed confidence that the party would win the 2010 gubernatorial elections in the state as a result of the track records of Governor Peter Obi in the state appealed to the public to allow democracy to thrive in the state by giving the governor a chance to deliver on his electoral promises.
