The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Victor Ike Oye, has been chosen for the investiture of the Paul Harris Award of Rotary International.
The Leadership Award is in recognition of Oye’s “Outstanding contributions towards the eradication of polio, development of human capital and good governance”.
The letter conveying the award signed by the president of Rotary Club Awka, Prof. Uche Collins Nwogwugwu, said the honour is in recognition of Oye’s contributions towards the eradication of polio in the world, provision of clean water and scholarships to indigent students.
“Your contributions helped Rotary Foundation to procure vaccines used in the immunization of children under five years against childhood communicable diseases,” he said.
The Rotary Club president said the leadership excellence award will be formally bestowed on the APGA chairman on September 21, 2019 in Awka, Anambra State.
