APC’s Sankara wins Jigawa Northwest senatorial seat

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Danladi Sankara winner for Jigawa Northwest Senatorial District seat.

The Returning Officer, Professor Usman Hruna, who announced the result in Gumel, said Sankara of All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 286, 655 against his opponents, Nasiru Roni of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 120,314 votes and Muhammad Alkali of Social Democratic Party (SDP) that got 29,906 votes.
