APC’s Doguwa beats Yusha’u to retain seat at House of Reps

The Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Alasan Ado Doguwa has emerged winner of the just concluded National Assembly poll.

Doguwa, who contested on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), polled 39,744 votes to defeat Air Comador Salisu Yusha’u (rtd) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 36,371 votes.

Doguwa is the serving member of the House of Representatives, representing Tudun-Wada/ Doguwa federal constituency in Kano State.

The constituency is made up of two local governments of Doguwa and Tudun-Wada.

The two local governments have 21 wards all together; 11 in Tudun-Wada and 10 in Doguwa.
