The governor of Jigawa state, Mohammadu Badaru Abubakar, who is also the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is in early lead as results of the state governorship election trickles in.
Badaru, is leading his opponents, the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, who is closely behind him as well as the candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Bashir Adamu Jumbo, in the result of the 12 Local Government Councils so far announced by INEC in the state.
