The Progressive Youth and Women Mandate, a group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has recommended the appointment of former Secretary to the Federation, Barrister Boss Mustapha, as the next party chairman to rescue the party from its current state of disarray.
During a press briefing in Kaduna on Friday, Jibril Adamu Seze, the convener of the group, highlighted the urgent need for the party to find a solution after the resignation of the National Chairman, National Secretary, and the North West Vice Chairman.
Seze emphasized that the APC requires someone who fully comprehends how to restore the party’s strength, ensuring sustainable political development guided by practical wisdom and principles that align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a better Nigeria.
He asserted that Boss Mustapha, with his excellent ideas, innovative approach to politics, and experience in public administration, is essential for the party’s survival and advancement of Tinubu’s administration.
“We appeal to Mr. President to consider our request and nominate Barr. Boss Mustapha as the next National Chairman of our party, given his track record of excellent performance, loyalty, and necessary skills to manage the affairs of our great party, the APC,” Seze stated.
The group expressed confidence that supporting Boss Mustapha as the National Chairman would not only boost support from the North East (Adamawa) but also unite and strengthen the party for future development.
They further commended Mustapha’s strong party loyalty and personal capacity to work closely with the National Working Committee in promoting and defending the founding fathers’ ideals, which are vital to the party’s growth and success.
