The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the governorship and legislative elections at Polling Units (PUs) 007 (1) and (2) Maje Ward, Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State.
Announcing the result after collation, the INEC Presiding Officer, Ms Dorcas Okejimi, said Gov. Abubakar Bello of the APC polled 70 and 101 votes at the PUs 007 (1) and (2), respectively, to win the election.
She added that the governor defeated Umar Nasko of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 40 and 41 votes at PUs 007(1) and (2), respectively.
Similarly, the presiding officer said the APC won the state House of Assembly election at the units with 75 and 98 votes at Pus 007 (1) and (2), respectively.
According to her, Shuaibu Liman-Iya of the APC won the election at the unit while PDP’s Nasiru Alhassan-Gwagwa scored 38 and 43 votes at PUs 007 (1) and (2), respectively.
Okejimi said the two polling units have 1,280 registered voters with 117 accredited voters at 007 (1) and 167 accredited voters at 007 (2). (NAN)
