The APC Women Leader in Kogi State, Hajiya Rabiat Rabiu, has appealed to elected women local government vice chairmen to cooperate with their chairmen to fast-track the development of their councils.
The women leader said the time had come for the women to prove their mettle by embarking on projects that would impact positively on the lives of the people.
Hajiya Rabiat expressed optimism that they would turn around the fortunes of their councils if they left enduring legacies by embarking on meaningful projects.
She said the good moment had come with the opportunity offered to them on a platter of gold by the women-friendly governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
She warned against abuse of office, stressing that their performance would endear them to the hearts of many.
He said excellent performance on their part was capable of providing more opportunities for the upcoming women in politics.
