The APC in Edo State, at the weekend, won the elections held in all the 18 local government areas of the state.
The results declared by the Chairman of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC), Prof. Stanley Orobator, indicated that the APC defeated nine other political parties that participated in the elections with wide margins.
The PDP boycotted the elections due to legal action it instituted against EDSIEC, the Edo State House of Assembly and the state government challenging the processes leading to the conduct of the elections.
Prof. Orobator said the APC won both chairmanship and councillorship positions in all the 18 local governments across the state.
According to him, the exercise was rancor-free and that there were no reported cases of violence across the state.
