Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah,representing Kebbi South Senatorial district has won the ticket of the All Progressives Congress to return to the senate.
Chairman ,APC Primary Committee, Profesor Monday Osunbor declared him winner of the APC Senatorial primary.
Meanwhile Senator Adamu Aliero has returned unopposed through affirmation by 3,079 delegates from eight local government areas that constituted Kebbi Central senatorial district.
The local government areas including Birnin-Kebbi, Bunza, Kalgo, Koko-Besse, Gwandu, Maiyama, Jega and Aliero local government areas.
Barrister Aminu Shamaki who was challenging Senator Aliero withdrew from the contest.
Declaring Aliero as the party’s candidate, Prof. Monday Osubor, who led the APC primary election committee, noted that with the “Withdrawal of Barrister Shamaki and with affirmation by 3,079 delegates from eight local government areas, I hereby declared Aliero as APC candidate for Kebbi Central senatorial district”.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has emerged unopposed as All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate.
The governor was announced as the party’s candidate for the Governorship election by Professor Monday Osunbor who led APC Governorship Primary Election Committee from Abuja.
3, 818 delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state, in affirmation, voted Bagudu as the party’s candidate at the township stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
During his acceptance speech, Governor Bagudu thanked the delegates for the confidence they reposed in him.
