APC’s Badaru wins Jigawa guber poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s returning officer and Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsinma has declared Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the  winner of the 2015 gubernatorial election in Jigawa state.‎

Badaru polled 648,045 votes to defeat his closest rival,Malam Aminu Ringim of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 479,447 votes. Badaru won by 168, 598 votes.

Sardauna Yanleman of APGA got 1,997 votes to emerge 3rd while Musa Galamawa of NCP got 1,394 to emerge 4th.

About 26,977 invalid votes were recorded in the election.
