The All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the House of Representatives has pledged strong support for Senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the party’s candidates in the forthcoming Edo governorship election.
In a statement issued on Monday, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Okezie Kalu, who chairs the APC Reps’ Fundraising Committee for the Edo State Governorship Election, disclosed that the caucus had contributed N200 million towards the party’s campaign.
The statement read: “In a demonstration of solidarity and loyalty to the party, the APC Reps Caucus has contributed N200 million towards the September 21 governorship polls. The donation, made by individual members of the APC in the 10th House, was coordinated under the leadership of the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu.”
The caucus highlighted its commitment to securing victory in Edo State, reaffirming their support for Okpebholo and Idahosa, both of whom have displayed competence and dedication in their public service roles.

Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa are both serving members of the National Assembly.
According to the statement, the cheque for the donation was presented by the Leader of the House, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, in the presence of Dr Yahaya Danzaria, Clerk of the House of Representatives; Hon. Billy Osawaru; and Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi, Chief of Staff to the Speaker.
