APC primaries: Senate leader praises “compatriots” for conceding defeat

Senate leader Ahmed Lawan has commended the three Yobe governorship aspirants of APC who conceded defeat in the just-ended primaries, calling them “compatriots” with the spirit of sportsmanship.

The National secretary of the All progressive Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni, won the party ticket in Yobe, after polling 2,797 votes in a marathon indirect primary that lasted 13 hours of nocturnal electioneering at August 27 stadium, Damaturu.

The three other aspirants: Hon Sidi Yakubu karasuwa, Umar Ali and Dr Aji Kolomi that got 23, 8, and 4 respectively, conceded defeat and pledged to work for the success of the winner and the party in 2019 general election.
