There is probable fear and apprehension in Imo state as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) conducts its primary election to choose their candidate for the 2019 governorship election in the state.
The fear was further heightened by the boycott of Friday’s presidential primaries, in which President Muhammadu Buhari polled a total of 697,532 out of 944,853 registered members.

Among the top contenders are Hon. Uche Nwosu, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, Sir Jude Ejiogu and Barr. Chima Anozie all of whom have been cleared by the party.
Others are Chris Emenike Nlemoha, Sir Eche George Ezenna, Engr. Chukwudi Celestine Ololo and Air Commodore Peter Gbujie.
