APC presidential primaries yet to commence in Nasarawa

The presidential primaries for the All Progressives Congress (APC) is yet to commence in Lafia and other major towns in Nasarawa state.

Our correspondent who went round Lafia from 8am up till 12noon was not able to locate a single ward or location where the primaries is holding.

A visit to Chiroma, Gayam, Shabu and Agyaragun Tofa electoral wards showed that APC members that were supposed to participate in the primaries were visibly absent leaving the venue for some children who were seen playing football on the field (venue of the exercises).

Investigation also revealed that the situation is the same in Keffi, Karu, Akwanga and other major towns in the state.

When contacted to know where exactly the primaries is holding as at 11:20 am, APC Organizing Secretary in the state, Hassan Wali, said: “It is too early to see people at the venue of the exercise, you know the primaries will be holding at various ward headquarters across the state, not in the state Secretariat of the party.”
