A total 247,847 people voted for president Muhammadu Buhari as the candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming 2019 presidential election.
Speaking shortly after the collation of the results from 147 wards in the state governor Abdulaziz Yari said the results obtained was an indication that the people of the state had overwhelmingly endorsed president Buhari for the second term.
He said 251,089 people were accredited and 247,847 people voted in a peaceful and transparent manner.
In his remarks, former governor Ahmad Sani Yarima warned that only those accredited 251,000 are eligible to vote saying that if one was not in that list of accredited party members one should keep off polling centres.
