The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have disagreed over revocation of a former governor’s land titles and demolition of a house belonging to member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency, Hon Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi, by the PDP-led administration in the state.
A statement signed by State Secretary of APC, Alhaji Bako Hussaini, in Bauchi accused Governor Bala Mohammed of unlawfully revoking land titles of APC members in the state, adding that valid titles of two former governors of the state and their deputies who are now in APC, were affected.
But the PDP through its State Publicity Secretary, Yayanuwa Zainabari, said that both revocation of the land titles and demolition exercise were carried out to “correct the mess and impunity perpetrated by the APC administration.”
Zainabari said that Hon Yakubu Abdullahi has failed to provide genuine evidence of ownership of the house apart from his “flagrant disregards to several notice and orders from relevant government agencies.”
