APC lacks reward system for party faithful – DG APC Support Groups

The Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups, Engr Muhammed Kailani, has said that the party has failed to demonstrate a reward system for its committed party stalwarts who stood by it when it mattered most.

Addressing the press on Wednesday in Abuja, Kailani expressed disappointment, noting that the confederation of APC Support Groups which encompassed over 150,000 groups, had been treated with apathy by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led APC government despite their obvious contributions in Nigeria and abroad.

He said, “It is evident that the APC under President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima since February 29, 2023, has not acknowledged the leadership of any confederation of APC Support Groups in terms of federal appointments. Instead, unfamiliar names are being introduced daily.

“Our members are growing impatient as they raise daily questions that we cannot answer. We cannot continue in this situation. President Bola Tinubu must take action because those who worked tirelessly, investing their money, time, and energy to ensure the success of the APC in the 2023 general elections should not be left empty-handed while unknown individuals reap the benefits of where they did not sow.”

Regarding President Tinubu’s certificate saga, he said that any political analyst knew from the beginning that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) were pursuing baseless claims created within their own imaginations.

He said, “They failed to address substantial issues related to the election such as rigging, underage voting or ballot snatching, and instead relied on unsubstantiated allegations.

“It is clear that they will also fail at…the Supreme Court. Atiku has consistently displayed a lack of political stability by frequently changing political parties in search of the presidency, which is why he remains a perennial loser in presidential contests.

“Unless he stabilises his political career, his political journey may not be successful. Mr Peter Obi could face the same fate if he continues to align with perpetual losers like Atiku Abubakar.”
