APC heads to Appeal Court over Adamawa gov’ship tribunal verdict

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state has concluded plans to challenge the verdict of the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal which dismissed its petition against the victory of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the PDP at the Court of Appeal.

One of the counsels of the party, Barrister Albert Kopbe disclosed that the APC has concluded plans to challenge the verdict of the tribunal at the appellate court.

The tribunal led by Justice Adediran Adebara had in a nine hour judgment on Friday dismissed the petition filed by the APC against election of Fintiri.

Barrister Kopbe who described the tribunal’s judgement as miscarriage of justice, said the legal team had concluded plans to approach the appellate court, saying he was confident of victory.
