A meeting of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) is currently ongoing in Abuja.
The meeting is being attended by governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Daily Trust learned that the meeting was convened to agree on a ‘Unity List’ among the 179 aspirants that obtained nomination forms ahead of Saturday’s national convention in order to avoid crisis.
A new set of APC national leaders will be elected at the forthcoming convention.
As at the time of filing this report, governors of Adamawa, Benue, Kogi, Imo, Borno, Katsina, Jigawa, Osun, Oyo and deputy governors of Lagos and Kaduna States had arrived Imo State Governor’s Lodge, the venue of the meeting.
More governors are still being expected at the all-important meeting.
