Governors who are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently meeting to take a position on the party’s convention.
The meeting is taking place at the Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge in the Asokoro area of Abuja.

Crisis is raging in the ruling party sequel to the failure of the Governor Mai Mala Buni led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee to organise the convention.
President Muhammadu Buhari had in November 2021, met with the top echelon of the party at the State House in Abuja, where it was agreed that the convention should hold in February, though no specific date was fixed.
Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, in a statement last week said the Committee was still consulting critical stakeholders before the convention.
Present at the APC governors’ meeting currently going on are; Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni; Babagana Zulum (Borno), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Abubakar Bello (Niger), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Ben Ayade (Cross River), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun).
Others are; Governors of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, David Umahi (Ebonyi), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Babajide Sanwolu (Lagos), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Solomon Lalong (Plateau), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), and Abdulraman Abdulrazaq (Kwara).
