The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is to kick-off his campaign in Plateau State.
According to the APC 2022–2023 presidential campaign calendar released Thursday in Abuja, the party and its presidential candidate would hold the first campaign rally in Plateau on November 15, 2022.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on September 28, 2022, lifted the ban on public campaigns by political parties.
But APC delayed its official campaign kickoff following what many stakeholders attributed to internal crises in the party.
The Assistant Director, Support Groups Coordination of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in the North East, Chief Sunny Sylvester Moniedafe, has said the action of some critical stakeholders of the party in Adamawa State is threatening the party’s chances in the 2023 general elections.
Moniedafe, a former APC national chairmanship contender, spoke to Daily Trust on Thursday in Abuja.
He said aggrieved members of the party were not on the same page with the leadership of the campaign council in the state and were planning to organise campaign rallies without recognising Senator Aisha Binani as leader of the presidential campaign council in the state.
