The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the tenure of its Rivers State caretaker committee by six months.
The APC national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, a lawyer, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
Recall that the caretaker committee, which consists of loyalists of a former governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was inaugurated in November 2023 following an intra-party crisis in the state.
Part of the statement reads, “This decision was reached at its 151st meeting held today, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the national secretariat in Abuja.
