Ayom, a leader of the agitators for Middle Belt Presidency in 2023 while commending the choice of party chairman from the Middle Belt, urged president Muhammadu Buhari to also correct the injustice on the region by considering a Christian from the region as president.

He said, “I want the president to go ahead with the fear of Almighty Allah and exhibit the principle of equity, justice and fairness by providing what the region have been denied since 1960 and help by supporting the zoning of the presidency of 2023 to the middle belt to heal the decades of wounds.

He said that zoning the presidency to the middle belt will go a long way to strengthening legacy of the president and other prominent party stalwarts and prove that the APC is a party for everybody and for nobody.

He also said that the new chairman is an elder statesman who is also God-fearing.

He commended the action of all stakeholders in the party for heeding to the voice of reason to prevail by heeding to the call to correct the injustice meted on the middle belt over the years by electing the party chairman from the region.
