According to Fasanya ,as you can see, the situation here is tense. Reports of planned invasion of this place and other units are what I have been getting since. We need more security presence here, because those who could not win are bent on scuttling the process.”

Also, Sanusi alleged that at his polling unit, “information at my disposal is to the effect that voters have been approached for financial inducement. Some of those who were  approached had come to me and I have told them to satisfy their conscience.

However, the Abeokuta South 11 PDP House of assembly candidate, Olabisi Olopade said of the election ” So far, the peace and proceedings are okay. And with this, I am sure my party will win both the governorship and my election.”

Meanwhile, there was crisis at Ward 7 Unit 3 at Alowonle, in Obafemi Owode local government, as the multiple presence of PDP agents caused stir. The APC, UPN, CPP and others present confirmed that the PDP stormed the voting area with three agents as against two each provided by all parties.

The Police officer in charge immediately informed his division and the third person was apprehended. But, a leader of the party in the area, Engr. Akeem Adesina later arrived to condemn the arrest, saying the woman was the original agent designated for the unit.

The APC agent, Monsurat Ogunfolaji who briefed newsmen , said the plan was to scuttle the peaceful conduct and scare away committed voters from casting their votes for the popular party
