The Grassroots Independent Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has trained its state coordinators on anger management in the course of the ongoing campaigns for the 2023 general elections.
Speaking with newsmen on Wednesday during the retreat in Abuja, the Director, Media and Publicity of the council, Hilliard Eta, said the move was to equip the foot soldiers of the APC on how to market the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to ensure victory for the party in the polls.
Eta, a former National Vice Chairman of the APC, said, “Before an army sets out for its responsibility, it must be tutored in a manner to engage the objective. This is to equip the combatants; what I call the battalions.
“You know, when you get the BAT, you get the BATtalions – to equip the battalions to go to the hinterlands, the grassroots of Nigeria, to do the work for which they have been given to do.”
He explained that APC members and supporters needed to understand the political antecedents of the various presidential candidates to enable them project their own and his chances of winning.
