Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT) and former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has alleged that some prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are planning to destabilise peace in the state.
Shinkafi in a statement yesterday in Abuja, said the people of Zamfara will resist every attempt by “the agents of the devil” to bring back the dark days when armed robbery, cattle rustling and kidnapping were the order of the day.
He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to call the former leaders of the APC in the state to avert the breakdown of law and order.
“If by the grace of God he has destined Mattawalle to continue beyond 2023 you cannot stop it. It is the will of God so I want to say categorically that nobody should use insecurity as an instrument of destabilizing the peace we are enjoying now.
“We are calling on Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari who is charged by the Constitution to protect lives and property to call the APC chieftains in the state to order, enough is enough,” he said.
