The chairman expressed confidence that APC would take over the presidency next year. “What we are going to take over from PDP is a nation that is factually torn into pieces in every facet of human life but I want to assure you that we have people who will take these challenges on,” Odigie-Oyegun said.
“We have manifestos which we are going to commit them to faithfully implement, as a matter of fact at the screening there will be an undertaken to be signed as regards the implementation of our manifestos,” he added.
The APC chairman commended the presidential aspirant for his good works in Kano and promised that the party would provide a level playing field for all its aspirants.
Kwankwaso reiterated the presidential aspirants’ commitment to a healthy and transparent contest for the party’s ticket, adding that members of the party will ensure its victory at the polls in 2015. He said many people were expected to join the party as it gets ready to receive some prominent PDP members who have decided to join the progressives,” the governor said.
Commenting on the president’s illegibility to contest year elections, Kwankwaso said Jonathan would be seeking for third term in office which the governor called ‘illegal.’ “As far as we are concerned, this government is having a second term in office. They had about two years before these four years. If you add the two they cannot be four years and l have searched the constitution many times from A-Z, I have not seen anything more than eight years and l don’t know how we are going to manage it and some people have gone to court, but we are taking them to the public court,” he said.
