The All Progressives Congress (APC) Wednesday ratified and adopted the results of the party’s nationwide ward congresses held on July 31, 2021.
Secretary of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Sen John James Akpanudoedehe, in a statement said the party also approved the immediate inauguration of ward executives by state caretaker committees.

“The CECPC hereby directs that the conduct of nationwide local government congresses proceeds accordingly by Saturday, September 4th, 2021 as contained in the official timetable/schedule of activities released by the party,” it said.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the closing date of the sale of nomination forms for its forthcoming ward, local government and state congresses has been extended from the earlier date of August 27, 2021 to September 09, 2021.
The PDP, in a statement yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) in that regard is pursuant to its powers under the PDP Constitution 2017 (as amended).
“The affected states include Adamawa, Borno, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Kwara, Lagos, Oyo, Kogi (wards and local governments only) and Osun (some wards).
“Critical stakeholders and all members of the party are also, by this, guided accordingly,” the party said.
