The All Progressives Congress (APC) splinter group known as APC-Akida in Katsina is dead and buried, the chairman of Katsina state progressive movement, Sameer Musawa, has said.

Speaking to newsmen in Katsina, Musawa said the group which was out to create confusion and misunderstanding amongst party followers has finally lost relevance.

According to him, the group has no grassroot affiliation saying that “most of its members have since left and joined the state governor, Aminu Masari, after they realised that the movement wasn’t purposeful as it claim.

He said its members have gone under especially their non-physical appearance during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections saying that “if what they kept on hammering was working for Buhari, why were they absent when he came to Katsina and even at their polling units during his election.”

He said that the group must have realised that the people have finally know the truth about their intention of causing disaffection for their selfish interest.

“Of recent, we have observed they have embarked on campaigns of calumny against some elder statesmen and respected business men in the state; this won’t work and people are more wiser and can see between the lines,” he said

He then urged President Buhari whom by now has seen the plain truth to be wary of any of their new initiative to get close to him saying that “they have tried and fail and will fail again.”
