The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano Municipal Local Government, Kano State, on Thursday affirmed the suspension of the lawmaker representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada.
Sharada, a former aide on Broadcast Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, was suspended for 12 months by his ward leadership of Sharada for what it described as disrespecting the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The party, in a letter issued to newsmen by the chairman in the area, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Maifata, and his Secretary, Kamilu Saidu Bala, affirmed the suspension for what they described as his “open attacks and castigation of Ganduje and other party stalwarts.”
Sharada could not be reached for his reaction on the matter as his mobile phone was switched off.
