Chief Ngutor Anyam has said he will create at least 20,000 sports related jobs in Benue State if he is elected as governor in 2023 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Anyam also told newsmen in Makurdi on Monday that his administration would make no fewer than 1,000 sportsmen millionaires through sporting activities in the state.

He pledged to make sports the number one income earner in the state during his administration just as he charged the Super Eagles to bring back the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to Nigeria.

Anyam, a Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, further disclosed his intention to lighten up the three stadia in the three senatorial districts of the state; the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi in Benue North-West senatorial district; Akume Atongo stadium, Katsina-Ala in Benue North-East senatorial district and Otukpo stadium in Benue South senatorial district.

He also vowed to make the Aper Aku stadium an international sports centre and facility that would be utilised all year round for sporting competitions, as well as make it an academy and a hub for talent hunt in Nigeria.
