Ansar-ud-Deen youths seek completion of abandoned FCT UBEB projects

The Ansar-ud-Deen Youth Association of Nigeria (ADYAN), Kubwa branch, FCT, has called for the immediate completion of four abandoned projects awarded to some contractors since 2014 by the FCT Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB).

The Secretary of ADYAN, Kubwa branch, FCT, Mal Abdul Rasheed Shuaib, told newsmen, weekend in Abuja, that the abandoned projects were the rehabilitation of four classrooms awarded at LEA Mpape Primary School; rehabilitation of two blocks of classrooms at LEA Primary School Kubwa 1; drilling of motorized borehole and construction of 10,000litre metal tanks on 9 millimeter height Stanton tower and reticulation awarded in JSS Guto Bwari and Supply of two sets of classroom furniture awarded at LEA Primary School Byazhim, Kubwa all in Abuja.

According to him, they have been tracking the projects since their award in 2014 but  that other projects that commenced at the same time and awarded by SUBEB have been completed.

“We received support from the Centre for Democracy Development (CDD) to track the projects awarded in the communities, and SUBEB has assured that companies found guilty will be punish,” Shuaib said.
