Ansar-ud-Deen holds national dialogue to commemorate centenary anniversary

The Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria will hold a national dialogue in Abuja next Tuesday as part of the activities lined up for the grand finale of its centenary anniversary celebration.

The deputy national president of the society, Dr Adebayo Ibrahim, who disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja Thursday, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would be the special guest of honour.

He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the president and his team so that they could remain focused and steadfast, especially in the fight against insecurity.

“Insecurity has been there before this government. The previous government did its best. And this government too is confronting it headlong. It is our duty as an Islamic organisation to offer prayers for our leaders,” he stated.

Ibrahim reiterated the society’s commitment to providing quality education for the youth to enable them to become better citizens.

He said so far, the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria could boast of having enrolled thousands of youths in schools and inculcating Islamic tenets in them across the country and beyond.

He said the society’s next focus would be to empower “the teeming unemployed graduates, semi-educated, women and girl-child with Islamic teachings and orientation.”

He admonished members of the society to redouble their efforts in order to leave an enduring legacy for the children and future generations which encompass the paths of Islam and education as advocated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) which means to ‘read, read and read.’
