Another wanted thug surrenders self to police in Kano

Another thug declared wanted by the Kano State Police Command in August 2023 has surrendered himself to the command alongside 40 other thugs. 

Recall that the command had declared Abba Barakita of Dorayi Quarters, Nasir Abdullahi known as Chile Maidoki of Layin Falwaya Kurna Makabarta Quarters and Hantar Daba of Kwanar Disu wanted and Nasir Abdullahi had since surrendered himself to the command.

However, one of the three thugs declared wanted Abba Barakita on Thursday surrendered to the command and announced his repentance from thug activities of which he is being accused of.

According to the state Police Public relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the repentant thug had not only surrendered himself but also had convinced 40 of his allies to surrender as well, adding that the repentant thugs have also surrendered their weapons.

He explained that in view of the development, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel had directed that the repentant thugs should be properly profiled and reformed.
