Tegina town in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State is currently under attack by bandits.
Sources from the town said bandits are currently operating, shooting sporadically and attacking people at will.
According to a source, residents of the town are taking cover.

He said, “Bandits are in Tegina now. Tegina is under attack right now. I am taking cover. Please pray for us. Please.”
Other sources in Tegina also confirmed that the bandits are currently operating inside the town and have taken over the Tegina-Zungeru-Minna road.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached for comments.
