Adigun, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Inspector Courage Ekhueorohan, told the court that Adigun committed the offence on January 31, on Lawanson-Ojuelegba road, Surulere. He submitted that Adigun slapped Inspector Florence Damisa while in the execution of her lawful duty at a traffic control point.
According to him, the offence contravenes Sections 168, 117 (1) and 174 (a) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
After Adigun pleaded not guilty to the charges, the Magistrate, M. I. Dan-Oni, admitted Adigun to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to February 22. (NAN).
