In a viral video, the woman said she boarded a cab from Kubwa heading to Gwarimpa when the incident happened.

The cab had a driver, a lady in front, and two men in the back seat.

She said: “I was heading to my sister’s house from Gwarimpa. As I approached my sister’s house, I called her on the phone to update her on my location, but one of the men immediately began assaulting me, pressing my neck and hitting me. Despite waving for help from the window, no one came to my aid.

“The assailants forced me into the tight leg space on the car floor after about thirty minutes of assault, demanding a ransom of N1.5 million for my release.

“Desperate for help, I began calling people I knew for money. Whenever someone claimed not to have money, the men intensified the beating. They confiscated my ATM and withdrew money sent to me.

“Additionally, they demanded access to my phone, logging me out of my device. Eventually, after collecting N500,000 from my loved ones, they released me, taking my bag and personal belongings.

“They dropped me on an unfamiliar road, I sought help from passersby but faced reluctance until a Good Samaritan provided assistance and gave me his phone to call my sister.”

The survivor issued a warning to others, urging vigilance, especially during the night.

“Please be very vigilant, be very careful when you’re going out, especially at night,” she warned.
