“Y’all my friend @HinyHumoren is in trouble and she needs our help. I’m currently in Lagos and I can’t help than to put this out there. Earlier today she told me she was going for a job interview at airport road which is quite far from her house,” Uduak had tweeted.
Uduak’s tweet had generated different reactions as the hashtag #HinyUmoren trended.
During the weekend, news broke that Umoren had been murdered and this triggered another set of reactions.
Below are some reactions
My dear co ladies,a lot is happening in Nigeria and the world at large. Psychopaths are at large targeting women. Don't give your contacts to anyone you don't know on social media. The murder of #HinyUmoren is so #heartbreaking. Learn.

Had it been #HinyUmoren came out alive and shared her story; some of y’all will still ask her for evidence to back up her claim;
Our ladies actually go through a lot to survive in a country as shitty as this.
It is well.

It all ends, everything!! There's hardly anything or any situation that that doesn't end, nothing lasts forever. This knowledge should make you value what you have now, it is in valuing it that you find the worth of it.

Just came online to hear of the murder of #HinyUmoren, a young girl in search of a job.
This has totally shattered me, it’s such a cruel world we live. It’s in times like these that I support jungle justice.
May God comforts her loved ones.
My dear ladies, be safe out there.

How did we get to this point of insanity?
How can you snuff life out of your fellow human?
OMG 😳, She was only trying to survive!
God , this is so sad 🥲

I strongly say no and stand against the 48hr rule before declaring someone missing, I think #HinyUmoren would have had a chance to survive if this rule didn't exist or was amended

I just took some time out to actually cry and wail about how she was killed. Just like that.

Two days before Umoren went missing, she had announced on Twitter that she was searching for a job.
“Please I’m really in need of a job, something to do to keep mind and soul together while contributing dutifully to the organisation. My location is Uyo, I’m creative, really good in thinking critically/ and most importantly a fast learner. CV available on request.”
