The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has inaugurated its 10th President, Alhaji Shehu Ladan, who reeled out his 10 points agenda aimed at using the accountancy profession to drive national growth and development.
Ladan in his inaugural address at the 35th Annual General Meeting of the association said that the 10-point agenda anchored on the acronym Shehu Ladan.
He explained that to mean, he will be focused on “Service for the association and humanity; Harmony among professional and associations; Education with ethics and integrity; Helping SMPs to create opportunities for practice; Unity of purpose for accountancy development in Nigeria; and Life-long learning enhancement.”
He also noted that his tenure would be anchored on “Accountability and prudence; Discipline and development; Accelerated capacity development; and Networking and internationalisation,” he said.
“I have chosen as my presidential theme, ‘Strong Accountancy Profession in Nigeria.’ Having a strong accountancy profession will be a solid foundation,”he added.
