ANAN appoints Dr. Abdullahi as Registrar/CEO

The governing Council of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has appointed Dr. Nuruddeen Abba Abdullahi as Registrar/Chief Executive with effect from April 1, 2018.

Abdullahi is a Senior Fellow at Dangote Business School, Bayero University, Kano; an Associate Consultant with CIF Consulting Ltd and a Partner in Mandrel Tax Consultants.

He was a British Commonwealth Scholar for PhD in Finance at the University of Exeter, between 1990 and 1993.

He holds BSc in Accounting from Bayero University Kano; MA in Finance & Investment and PhD in Finance from the University of Exeter, UK.

He is a Fellow of ANAN, NIM and CITN, as well as a member of The Academy of Management Nigeria.

He is a registered Professional with the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria, and also a member of the National Institute for Policy & Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.

Prior to his appointment he was, at different times, the Managing Director of CIF Consulting Ltd, Managing Director of Dala Building Society Plc, Executive Director of Kano State Computer Centre and General Manager Operations of Kano State Investment & Properties Ltd.

He was a council member of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) and The Nigerian Stock Exchange. Also he has served meritoriously on various committees and sub-committees of the Association, including Chairman of MCPD Committee, Branches & Benevolence Committee and Establishment Committee.

He is currently a Senior Fellow at Dangote Business School, Bayero University, Kano.

Prior to his appointment as Registrar/Chief Executive, he had about three decades of rewarding career in development financing, mortgage banking, management consulting and government service, as well as the academia.
