Anambra gov’ship: Youth urge Onunkwo to contest

Thousands of youth in Anambra State have urged a renowned philanthropist in the state, Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, to declare his interest for the governorship seat of the state ahead of the November 18 election.

The youth, under the auspices of Anambra New Generation Vanguard, in partnership with over 21 other youth groups in the state, said the choice of Onunkwo as their sole candidate was informed by his rising profile that aligned with the aspiration of the youth; his sound academic background and immense contributions to youth development.

Addressing a press conference in Awka at the weekend, the Executive Director, Grassroots Mobilization for Development in the state, Onunkwo Tony, said the endorsement of the philanthropist followed a decision taken by the youth at a recent summit convened at his instance.
