The All Progressives Congress’ appeal committee for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State led by Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya on Monday submitted its report to the party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee in Abuja.
Yahaya, while handing over the report to chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, commended the leadership of the party for finding him and other members of his committee worthy to serve in that capacity.

Buni was represented by Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe during the ceremony.
Yahaya, according to a statement by his spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said: “In view of the importance and urgency of the assignment, his committee had to immediately after its inauguration, swing into action, working through the weekend and meeting all the contestants and key players in Anambra state.”
“We thank God that we met with all the contestants and also got to principal stakeholders so that we thrash through the issues and advise the party accordingly.
“The summary of all our undertakings is what we have as a report plus some of the documents that we were able to receive in terms of petitions, recommendations or advice.”
Answering questions from newsmen shortly after the presentation ceremony, Governor Yahaya said he expected that his committee’s recommendations would bring justice and strengthen the gains of the party not only in Anambra State, but in the whole of the South-East and Nigeria.
