Anambra State government in July 2023 generated N2.8 billion from its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
This is the first time the state’s IGR netted N2.8 bn since Governor Charles Soludo assumed office in March 2022.

A source who disclosed this to Daily Trust said the acting chairman of Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), Dr Greg Ezeilo, made the revelation during the state exco meeting held at the government house, Awka.
He said after the cost, the total money came down to N2.5 billion.
According to the source, based on the success recorded, the governor had approved all the requests the chairman made to improve the state IGR service.
