Speaking during the demolition, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACTDA, Mr Ossy Onuko, stated that the operation would be a sustained effort in line with Governor Charles Soludo’s agenda of making Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland.

Mr Onuko regretted that despite the numerous warnings by the agency and other agencies of government, traders continued to construct shanties and traded along roadsides, and warned that the authority would continue to wage war against impunity in the capital city.
