Enyimba FC burly defender, Ifeanyi Anaemena and striker Mustapha Ibrahim have predicted that their side’s semi-final clash with Moroccan giants, Raja Casablanca will be a tough one.
The two-time African champions, who are gunning for their first CAF Confederation Cup title, host Raja tomorrow in the first leg of the double header at the renovated Enyimba International stadium in Aba.
Although they are being tipped to win the first leg against their tricky opponents from North Africa, Enyimba are not taking anything for granted.
Anaemena told Daily Trust that everybody in Enyimba is aware of the danger posed by Raja Casablanca so all hands are on deck for ‘the peoples elephants’ to get a good result in the first leg .
He, therefore, said Raja should be ready to contain with the pressure that Enyimba will unleash on them in search of victory.
“No team at this stage is a pushover so Raja Casablanca with their high pedigree deserve all respect from us. We are expecting a difficult match.
“Already we are doing everything humanly possible to get a good result in the first leg. It is going to be tough but it is possible,” he said.
Speaking in the same vein, Ibrahim said Raja will be a hard nut to crack but Enyimba will do everything to get victory in Aba.
He said outright win against Raja in the first leg will ease the pressure on Enyimba in the return leg.
